- American Staffordshire Terrier
Elvis is looking for a new venue to perform his next hits. The king fell on hard times when the love of his life and constant companion, his dad, died from a sudden heart attack. The last thing he said ambulance was "please take care of my dog." Elvis mom is disabled and headed to assisted living. Family members took Elvis in temporarily but are desperately looking for a new home for him.
Elvis was so bonded to his dad that they were rarely apart. This has resulted in Elvis having some separation anxiety. He is currently on medication to help relieve his anxiety and he is slowly being crate trained.
Elvis is an 11 year old, American Staffordshire Terrier who was born on 2/3/2008. He was purchased from a breeder as a puppy and has only known love and care his entire life. He is trained and listens. He is a gentle giant (80 pounds) who does not jump on people, beg for food or bark inside (except when people knock). He is neutered, up to date on all shots, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and has had a blood panel run that shows his kidney and liver values are normal. He has some lumps that are normal for an old dog and he has a limp due to arthritis. He is a good boy who loves walks and car rides.
He tends to ignore other dogs unless they bother him and he has not been tested with cats. He would do best in an adult only home with patient and loving owners who are interested in helping an elderly good dog live out his final years in peace.
Elvis is located in Kalamazoo, MI. Please contact Lydia at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
