A Courtesy Listing for Hanover Park Animal Care Center - here's their note, and contact info is below:
About 6 months ago, we had a client come in with a 15 year old male cat that was blocked. The owner couldn't afford surgery or medical care for the pet so we allowed them to surrender the cat to us for treatment, versus a financial euthanasia.
Spike has now been with us for 6 months, recovered from surgery well, loves his urinary diet and is looking for a home. We have had him up for adoption in our practice and the only person interested in adopting a senior cat just didn't seem to be a good fit. We reached out to the rescue we work with locally for cats, and they don't have any foster homes available now, so I was hoping we could get him posted with your rescue and hopefully find him a furrever home! He is beyond affectionate and falls in love with everyone that he meets! On a typical day, he'll lounge around in his cat bed, soaking up as much sunlight as he can. He is up to date on rabies, FVRCP, is negative for internal and external parasites and has had a negative viral test.
