It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Come out to the beautiful, historic Square on the Friday after Thanksgiving when Christmas officially comes to Woodstock as a flip of the switch illuminates tens of thousands of lights on the Park trees and the Square buildings. Join Young at Heart along with other nonprofits for The Day of Giving during this event, where we will have handcrafted holiday goodies for sale to support our senior pets! While the lighting itself takes place at 7:00PM in the Park-in-the-Square, there are many wonderful holiday activities planned, including holiday carolers, street musicians, holiday sweets and favors, and special goodies and displays in the Square shops and restaurants. Enjoy caroling too, plus Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available in their Square home that evening to greet children and even pose for pictures. A special treat is the opening of the annual Opera House Christmas Tree Walk featuring dozens of trees beautifully decorated by area organizations. Come for the Lighting and then stay for our special shopping and dining. Take a moment to stop by the Old Courthouse for a walk through a candyland of Gingerbread Houses. This display is free to the public and will be available through mid-December.
