Double Your Gift for Dogs Like Martha

Posted

Martha's heart is beautiful and sweet and full of joy. But Martha's heart needs your help!

This adorable face belongs to Martha, a wonderful 10 year old senior girl who lost her way, and then found herself behind bars at animal control. When no one came looking for her, like many senior pets that end up at animal control, her time ran out quickly. But her story has a happy ending! A wonderful volunteer for animal control drove Martha over 6 hours so that Martha could enjoy the good life here at Young at Heart.

Martha's heart gets all the love and affection that she wants in her foster home, but her heart still needs something more. Like several other senior dogs we are currently caring for, Martha is Heartworm positive. Heartworm is expensive to treat, and takes several vet visits and several months to treat correctly. Martha's heart will eventually be Heartworm free, extending her life and ensuring her comfort, but Martha's heart needs you.

Young at Heart has received a very generous offer from an Guardian Angel who wants to DOUBLE YOUR DONATION to our Mutt Mosey Fundraiser Walk!

Every year, Young at Heart holds our Mutt Mosey to raise the money needed to care for senior pets like Martha. We are currently caring for over 40 senior dogs and cats, and every day we are contacted about other senior pets that need our help. Caring for these amazing old souls is so worth it, but it is expensive to get them all the veterinary care they need to find loving families - vaccines, blood work, x-rays, dental cleanings and extractions, biopsies, ultrasounds, and Heartworm treatment add up really quickly when you care for 40 senior pets at a time!

We can't help homeless senior pets without you! We need your help. Martha needs your help. Donate now and your donation will be DOUBLED by our Angel Donor!
