Tug is #HomefortheHolidays
Who doesn't love a little story about the magic of the holidays? Friends, meet Tug, a gorgeous old soul who has lived a life full of love, but still found herself homeless after fourteen years.
Tug's mom loved her more than anything in this world. For fourteen years, Tug was her rock, her best friend, her support system, and her entire family. When Tug's mom went into the hospital, the local shelter took Tug in and kept her safe for her mom. Unfortunately, Tug's mom never came home. When she passed away, the shelter took the responsibility of finding Tug that perfect home very seriously. We offered to work with the shelter to bring Tug into Young at Heart and do what we do best - finding loving homes for senior pets.
Tug had so many wonderful people that wanted to see her continue that life of love. And because of our supporters, we were able to take her in, get her a full geriatric veterinary work up, and get her settled into a wonderful foster home. But little did we know that the magic of the season was upon us...
Just before Tug arrived to Young at Heart, one of our wonderful repeat adopters reached out to us to let us know she was ready to add another senior dog to her family. And guess which dog was a perfect match? So, as Tug rode in the car from the shelter to Young at Heart, her happily ever was just waiting for her!
Tug will have the most wonderful home for the holidays with her new mom, Sue. And if you remember Moomoo and Cammie, two other Young at Heart alum, Tug is now lucky enough to call them family, too. Tug will continue to enjoy the absolute best life full of love. And through it all, she seemed to know that it would all be ok. Tug has the best doggy smile for all of her new friends, and her tail wags happily wherever she goes. Tug's Christmas wish came true - she has a wonderful loving home for the holidays.
