Welcome, Pitty Pat!

Friends, welcome Pitty Pat, a sweet senior kitty to Young at Heart! Pitty Pat is approximately 9 years old, and most likely a Munchkin mix. Sadly, when her guardian had to be admitted to a nursing home, the family wanted her euthanized. Instead, the shelter reached out to Young at Heart to rescue her, and here she is!

Pitty Pat just got a full veterinary exam at our vet, and this poor baby has a very old pelvic fracture. She has a funny little gait because of it, but gets around just fine. We immediately started her on comprehensive pain management and joint supplements, and she's already feeling much more comfortable. We're finding that she loves to wrestle with catnip toys! We're waiting on her bloodwork results, and hoping she is healthy enough to get her teeth cleaned asap. She has a mouthful of awful teeth that need to be taken care of, too!

Pitty Pat is safe and sound with Young at Heart, and when all of her veterinary care is complete, she'll be ready for adoption. We're just getting to know her, and though we don't know if she likes other cats or dogs yet, we definitely know that this little girl adores being loved on! Welcome to the Good Life, Pitty Pat!
