After a life filled with love, top notch care and all the pampering a senior pet could want, I left this world in the loving arms of my sanctuary family in March 2019.

Hi there! I'm Opie, the World's Cutest Dog, and I am a permanent resident of Young at Heart. I am in end stage renal failure, but am comfortable and happy with medical support. I get fluid therapy several times a week to keep my kidneys flushed out, and am on a special diet with special supplements. I was rescued by Young at Heart in 2017 after I was found wandering on a college campus after everyone had gone home for the summer. A good Samaritan took me to the local shelter, where no one ever came looking for me, and so I came to Young at Heart since I was older - at least 10 years old. Upon arrival at Young at Heart, xrays revealed that I had also been hit by a car before the Good Samaritan found me, and had a fractured pelvis that was slowly healing. Despite all of that, I am a HAPPY HAPPY boy, and I love love love my forever foster family. I am enjoying life to the fullest each day, and am so so loved. I am a lucky boy to get a second chance to enjoy the twilight of my life!
