April Mae 9.21.21

April Mae 9.21.21

Housebroken: Yes

Crate trained: She has done well with crate training as well as with free roam when her foster is away from home.
Dog sociability: She is selective with other dogs. Would likely do OK coexisting
Cat sociability: She lives with cats in her foster home and is largely good with them, though can sometimes chase or protect her food from them so may do best with dog-savvy cats.
Kids: Does well!
Ideal home: April Mae would love an adopter who can provide her continued medical support for her Cushing's Syndrome.April Mae is looking for someone who will let her use their feet as her pillow and let her be the little spoon. While she won't jump on your couch or bed, she loves nothing more than getting a boost from her human so she can snuggle just a littttle bit closer. While she doesn't always hear the best, a tiny gentle tap on the shoulder or the rump gets her attention, and she'll do anything for a treat. Don't let her age fool you - this girl has a lot of life in her, and is happy to on multiple strolls a day. She's fully housebroken, walks easily on a leash, and is content to stare lovingly into your eyes.

April Mae's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor! She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative.

April Mae has been diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome, which will need to be managed by her adopter and their private vet with ongoing vet care, testing, and medication.
