Young at Heart's sanctuary dogs are permanent residents due to complex medical or behavioral needs and are not available for adoption.

Sweet Noel was rescued after being found on the side of the road, lethargic and soaked to the bone in the freezing rain. We nursed her back to health and she absolutely blossomed. After being with us for several weeks, she began to have seizures, so we took her for a neuro exam. Unfortunately, her scans revealed she has a brain tumor. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we raised enough funds to treat her tumor with radiation, and now she is feeling great! She is not cured, but she is currently seizure free and enjoying every day. She's such a good, loving girl, and enjoys all the love that is showered on her. She loves her canine friends, and even enjoys her feline friends! She's such a good girl, and we are so grateful that we can help her enjoy her time in the twilight of her life.
